What is Fund Face ?

Fund Face makes financial insights accessible through video content. Thus more people, whether they have an investment history or not, get to find content that is appealing to them.

My Role

When I joined the team as a UX/UI Designer, the UX lead was nearly done with the platform’s desktop version. The platform’s identity and guidelines were ready but mobile and tablet versions were missing. So my main role was to lead the platform’s mobile version designs.

Content Browser

Content browser is the page you land on after signing in to the platform. You can either choose to see popular content under the titles of your categories or content by funds you are following.

Search Function

I have created a search page for the mobile design rather than the search overlay that is used on the desktop version. And added a bar that includes different search categories.

Usability Test Findings

We conducted some usability tests on the mobile version of our MVP and gave the users some tasks regarding investing and exploring the content, companies, and funds. Some of the users had no investment experience, some only had a few years of experience and one user had many years of experience.

Company and Fund Profiles

The most important problems we observed about the profile pages in our usability tests were the inaccurate wording we used for the buttons and the way we grouped the content. We have relocated some of the content and that helped us reduce the number of buttons.
